Richard is married to Laura and has three children. He grew up on a farm in North Antrim and came to saving faith in the Lord Jesus in early childhood. Richard was ordained and installed in August 2021 as minister of Churchtown Presbyterian Church.
Tommy is a well known farmer up on Crebilly Hill. He has been a member of Ballykeel for many years and is a father and grandfather. Married to Christine, Tommy helps in the Bible Class and participates in several study groups in the Church. He is a keen student of Reformed devotional literature and loves to think about grace in the Christian life. Tommy has a great sense of humor which helps when milking cows in harsh weather.
David Moore – Head of Sunday school
David has been an elder in Ballykeel for several years and works as a civil servant. He has had long experience teaching the Gospel to young people. He is married to Joy and has two daughters, Grace and Hannah.
Rachel McCartney – Praise director
Rachel is from High Kirk congregation in the town and is a medical student at Queens, Belfast. She is passionate about praise and is hoping to put together a new team of singers and musicians to support our ongoing commitment to the best of old and the best of new here in Ballykeel.
Eldership
Our ruling elders are men elected by the congregation to spiritually provide leadership, accountability and guidance. They also work with the teaching elder, in the oversight of Word and sacrament ministry. Each elder will usually have a district in our parish bounds. They are expected to call with their district members twice a year. Some elders serve in specialist roles (administration for example). At present we have 7 active elders and 2 elders emerita.
